Dungarvin is hiring a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist

Join a mission-driven talent acquisition team focused on connecting skilled professionals with meaningful roles in human services. In this role, you'll lead end-to-end recruitment for high-volume positions, primarily Direct Support Professionals, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for every candidate.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and engage qualified candidates using job boards, employee referrals, community outreach, and career events.
  • Conduct screenings, assess qualifications, and verify references to ensure alignment with role requirements and organizational values.
  • Maintain a well-organized talent pipeline using SmartRecruiters, leveraging tagging and talent community features for quick access to qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing challenges and recommend solutions related to sourcing, compensation, or skill gaps.
  • Represent the organization at local hiring events, career fairs, and networking opportunities to strengthen community presence and attract diverse talent.
  • Champion a respectful and inclusive candidate journey, reflecting core values of dignity, equity, and person-centered service.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree and at least one year of high-volume recruiting experience, OR a high school diploma or GED with two years of relevant recruitment experience.
  • Proven success in sourcing, interviewing, and placing hourly workers, particularly in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and CareerBuilder for targeted candidate outreach.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems including Workday and SmartRecruiters, as well as virtual meeting tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis, and SharePoint for document collaboration.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in healthcare, social services, retail, manufacturing, or hospitality sectors.
  • Background in staffing agency operations or third-party recruitment is highly valued.

Work Environment & Benefits

This is a remote position based in the Houston, TX area, with some travel required for local hiring events. You’ll work during standard business hours, typically 8 AM to 5 PM local time.

Compensation is a fixed hourly rate of $27.50. Additional benefits include a 401(k) plan with up to 3% employer match after one year, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and pet insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Domestic partners are eligible for dental benefits. You’ll also receive a monthly cellphone stipend and all necessary equipment for remote work.
