Honeywell is hiring an R&D Engineer/Scientist II to join our team focused on advanced aircraft propulsion. You will be a key aerodynamic and structural analyst responsible for designing and developing new technologies for aircraft propulsion engines, power systems, and components.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop new technologies for aircraft propulsion engines, power systems, and its components.
- Interpret and understand CFD results, perform post-processing, prepare detailed analysis reports, and propose suitable design changes based on CFD analysis.
- Develop engineering tools and generate scripts for pre/post-processing and solver automation.
- Generate new design concepts.
- Work with geographically distributed stakeholders.
- Innovate on new technology insertions into products and adapt to changing market trends.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from a reputed university.
- Industry-relevant experience in Aerospace components analysis, preferably on Aero Engines and related components.
- Hands-on experience with aerodynamic analysis.
- A strong understanding of Gas Turbine Engine components.
- Strong fundamentals in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Turbomachinery, Numerical Methods, and Finite Volume Analysis concepts.
- Expertise in interpreting and understanding CFD results, post-processing, preparing detailed analysis reports, and proposing design changes based on CFD analysis.
- Interest in developing engineering tools and script generation for automation.
- Experience with mechanical simulation tools.
- Proven ability to bring new design concepts.
- Experience working with geographically distributed stakeholders.
