Applicants must currently reside in the Central Time Zone to be considered. Responsible for precise, timely invoice submissions to responsible payers for all services and products. Evaluates received payments and their application to patient accounts. Follows up with responsible parties to ensure accurate, timely payments. Assists with Billing and Collection Training and completes "second level" appeals to payers. Job Responsibilities: - Submits accurate, timely invoices to payers for products and services. Comprehends contract terms and fee schedules. Correctly determines drug billing quantities and prices. Verifies service authorizations and documentation. Ensures invoices reflect properly ordered and confirmed services. - Evaluates payment accuracy and applies payments systematically. Verifies payments against fee schedules. Applies payments correctly to patient accounts. Ensures secondary billing and patient invoices are mailed within 48 hours of payment receipt. Notifies Reimbursement Manager of overpayments or duplicate service payments. Transfers payments to appropriate offices within 48 hours. - Follows up on submitted invoices to guarantee prompt payment. Confirms claim receipt and processing. Communicates with patients or responsible parties when insurance carriers fail to make timely payments. Generates and mails statements and collection letters. Resolves all denials within 48 hours of receipt. - Ensures compliance with contract terms and fee schedule guidelines. Adheres to HIPAA regulations when accessing and sharing patient information to maintain confidentiality.
