What You'll Do
Conduct diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging procedures as directed by medical staff, ensuring high-quality results for accurate diagnosis. Guide patients through preparation steps, including proper positioning and use of immobilization tools, while clearly explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
Operate radiographic and CT equipment with precision, adjusting exposure settings as needed. Prioritize radiation safety by applying protective techniques such as beam limitation and shielding for both patients and staff. Maintain detailed records by documenting procedures and patient care in departmental systems.
Respond to adverse reactions related to contrast media by following established emergency protocols, administering first aid, and utilizing emergency equipment. Support readiness through participation in mass casualty drills and maintain compliance with required training programs, including infection control and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Valid certification in both CT and X-Ray technology
- Proven ability to perform diagnostic imaging studies using X-ray and CT equipment
- Experience positioning patients and using immobilization devices effectively
- Strong understanding of radiation protection methods and safety protocols
- Familiarity with exposure factors and technical adjustments on imaging systems
- Commitment to infection prevention practices and workplace safety standards
- Ability to follow emergency drug protocols and operate emergency response equipment
- Active participation in compliance training and emergency preparedness exercises
Technical Environment
You'll work with modern X-ray and CT scanners, electronic patient charting systems, radiation shielding tools, immobilization equipment, and emergency medical carts to support safe and effective imaging services.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Iraq. The role requires adherence to strict safety and regulatory guidelines within a structured clinical setting.
