Airbus Americas, Inc. is hiring a Quality Inspector A (Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Quality Inspector A (Non-Destructive Testing) to ensure the integrity and compliance of critical aerospace components. In this hands-on role, you will apply specialized NDT methods to inspect materials, parts, and assemblies, verifying their health and safety for our industry-leading helicopters.

What You'll Do

• Apply various NDT methods to inspect and certify parts for cracks and other defects.
• Understand and implement approved work instructions and procedures.
• Prepare, treat, and document parts before and after tests.
• Interpret and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection per approved standards.
• Ensure inspection areas, check phases, and associated documents are prepared correctly.
• Maintain, calibrate, and adjust NDT equipment according to written instructions.
• Collect reference specimens and perform concentration and contamination checks.
• Calibrate lamp illumination levels for inspections.
• Validate that all required parts are included for processing.
• Degrease parts using detergent wash, ultrasonic cleaning, and water rinses.
• Complete maintenance records, certify pass/fail results, and update SAP for labor tracking.
• Standardize technical methods and document them via written procedures or NDT work instructions.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Five years of proven experience performing NDT testing in at least two NDT methods.
• ASNT and NAS 410 Level II NDT certification or equivalent in at least two methods.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office or G Suite.

Nice to Have

• Associate Degree in aviation or an industry-related field.
• National Aeronautical Standard (NAS) 410 level II certification course completion.
• Actively engaged in three or more NDT methods for five years as a NAS 410 certified level II.
• A&P license.
• ASNT and NAS 410 Level III NDT certification or equivalent.
• Competent user of Microsoft SharePoint, ORION, TIPI, or SAP.
