Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and tracking of key quality metrics and reporting to management.
- Support calibration programs for inspection and test equipment.
- Review purchase orders and incoming material certifications for compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits, surveys and surveillances.
- Review of quality records to verify acceptability and compliance.
- Support nonconformance investigations and corrective/preventive action processes.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Assist in training personnel on quality processes.
- Perform oversight at vendor facilities and during construction activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of quality assurance related work; or high school diploma and three years of quality assurance related work; or five years of quality assurance related work.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME Section III & Section VIII, ISO 9001, NQA-1, and 10CFR21.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with NDE methods
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection tools (e.g., CMM, FARO Arm).
- Training or familiarity in corrective action processes.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
- Experience with procedures.
- Prior experience working in the nuclear industry.
