BigID is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Hyderabad-based Engineering team, reporting to a Team Lead. You will be responsible for simulating large-scale environments, testing them, and providing critical feedback on product quality.
What You'll Do
- Develop, design, and maintain robust test automation frameworks utilizing contemporary tools such as Playwright and Cypress.
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive end-to-end automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and data processing pipelines.
- Accelerate test development by creating and maintaining reusable test components, utilities, and libraries.
- Design and implement comprehensive API test automation.
- Continuously improve and maintain existing automation suites, including regression, smoke, and sanity tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, infrastructure, DevOps) to improve system efficiency and ensure performant data handling.
- Work with core infrastructure components like K8s, Kafka, and various databases.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.
- Strong experience building end-to-end test automation from scratch.
- Proven track record of testing enterprise web applications or SaaS platforms.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience testing complex data workflows or data-intensive applications.
