Aretum is hiring a Quality Assurance Tester to ensure the highest quality standards for software products across defense, civilian, and homeland security sectors. You will be part of a mission-driven organization that values collaboration, inclusion, and professional growth.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate application functionality.
- Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure a high level of quality.
- Provide timely and accurate status updates on testing progress and any issues encountered.
- Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input and feedback on application testing.
What We're Looking For
- Active Secret Security clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or IAT-II equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in software application testing, preferably in a government contracting environment.
- 5+ years of experience in .NET platform development and/or testing.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with test planning, test case creation, and test execution.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile and scrum methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Nice to Have
- Experience with automated testing tools.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
