What You'll Do
Oversee the full scope of on-site quality management for complex dam construction activities, ensuring all work aligns with engineering designs and recognized industry standards. Direct quality control operations across single or multi-discipline project areas, providing clear leadership to inspection teams and field staff.
Act as the central point of contact for quality matters, interfacing with client representatives and internal project teams to coordinate daily inspection functions and resolve compliance issues. Guide technical staff through challenging field conditions, offering expert consultation to support accurate, consistent quality assessments.
Implement and enforce the project’s Quality Program, verifying that all construction activities meet contractual drawings, specifications, and referenced standards. Conduct in-depth reviews of contractor submittals and manage the submittal tracking process to ensure timely compliance.
Lead complex technical evaluations, plan investigative approaches, and document findings for high-impact construction challenges. Perform final inspections, validate work completeness, and oversee punchlist development to confirm project readiness.
Track quality trends over time, prepare monthly summaries of inspection outcomes and recurring concerns, and manage the resolution of noncompliant work from identification through closure.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing quality programs on large-scale water or civil construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction inspection methods and quality assurance protocols
- Ability to lead technical teams and coordinate with project management and client representatives
- Experience reviewing construction submittals and RFIs for compliance
- Skilled in investigating and resolving complex field quality issues
- Proficiency in documenting technical findings and maintaining quality tracking systems
Work Mode
This is an onsite role based in Panama City, Panama. The position requires consistent presence at the project site to conduct inspections, lead team activities, and ensure real-time quality oversight throughout construction.
