Indra Group is seeking a QKD and QKDN Engineer to join our team deploying quantum communication infrastructures across Europe, as part of the EuroQCI initiative. You will work on integrating terrestrial and satellite QKD, evaluate technologies, develop quantum network components, and help build the EU's future secure communication systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement components for QKDN networks following ITU-T (Y.3800 series) and ETSI standards.
- Integrate and validate elements such as QKD Controller, Network Manager, Key Management Systems, and Agents.
- Define, execute, and document functional and performance tests to validate project KPIs.
- Collaborate on experimental deployments within the European EuroQCI ecosystem and space QKD projects.
- Perform analysis of cryptographic protocols (symmetric and asymmetric) applied to QKD architectures.
- Develop software in C/C++ for network components and validation tools.
- Contribute to network design and integration with advanced architectures (familiarity with Teraflow and SDN controllers is a plus).
- Document results, support technical audits, and participate in demonstrations with European partners.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in QKD/QKDN networks.
- Knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in C/C++.
- Basic experience in Linux environments and user management.
- Experience in designing and executing test plans and test cases.
- Knowledge of network management and engineering.
- High level of English for an international technical environment.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Alcobendas.
