We at Coforge are hiring a QE Architect – Test Automation (21984) with the following skill set: We are looking for a hands-on QE Architect to own and drive the end-to-end test automation strategy for a Freight Transportation services client. This role combines technical leadership with active contribution—setting direction while working closely with distributed engineering teams across worldwide. You will play a critical role in elevating quality practices, scaling automation frameworks, and ensuring consistent, reliable quality signals across web, mobile, and API layers. Key Responsibilities - Define and own the end-to-end test automation architecture across web, mobile, and API layers. - Lead the design and implementation of mobile test automation, addressing device coverage and scalability challenges. - Establish framework standards, reusable libraries, and design patterns for broader QE adoption. - Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure early and reliable quality feedback. - Evaluate, select, and recommend tools for web, API, and mobile testing. - Partner with distributed development teams to embed quality practices into delivery workflows. - Mentor QE engineers and leads through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance. - Apply AI/GenAI to optimize the testing lifecycle (test case generation, automation scripts, self-healing frameworks). - Validate AI/LLM-powered application features, ensuring accuracy, intent alignment, and risk mitigation (e.g., hallucinations). Required Skills & Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with strong expertise in automation architecture. - Proven experience designing and scaling test automation frameworks across multiple layers. - Hands-on expertise in mobile test automation (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar). - Strong API testing experience (functional, contract, integration testing). - Experience working across web, mobile, and API testing ecosystems. - Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar). - Familiarity with device cloud/grid platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Test Grid, etc.). - Strong communication skills to collaborate across global, distributed teams. - Experience applying AI and GenAI tools in testing workflows, including test generation and validation of AI-based systems. - Domain experience in freight, transportation, or logistics systems (shipping, tracking, dispatch, supply chain). Preferred Skills - Experience with performance and load testing. - Background in organizations evolving or maturing mobile testing capabilities. - Strong decision-making skills in selecting tools and defining scalable architectures.
