Agnico Eagle Mines is seeking a QA/QC Database Geologist for its Ontario Regional Exploration Team. Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will play a vital leadership role by overseeing and reviewing the QA/QC of all exploration data to advance exploration across regional properties.
What You'll Do
- Review collected data from multiple sources and ensure its quality and validity.
- Create and monitor collection methods and tools to ensure consistency of data.
- Monitor collection tools for data drift and precision.
- Prepare regular reports on QA/QC of assays and communicate regularly with labs.
- Ensure all Agnico Eagle’s Health & Safety, Environmental, and Cultural policies are respected by all employees and contractors at all work sites.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with peers to ensure consistent messaging, uphold standards, and maintain unified operations in remote exploration environments.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in geology.
- Must be a member of a Professional Association in a Canadian province or territory.
- Knowledge of Leapfrog Geo, Datamine, DHLogger/Fusion, and ArcGIS.
- Database management experience with SQL and/or Python.
