The QA Specialist will ensure the quality and stability of digital products for the Michigan Lottery’s iLottery program within Aristocrat's iLottery Marketing team. This role involves leading QA processes, executing test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate technical functionality and customer-facing features across web and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance activities across multiple projects, conducting thorough testing for new promotions, marketing automations, and feature rollouts on the iLottery platform, mobile app, and website.
- Develop and finalize test plans, test cases, and regression testing procedures to verify technical functionality, platform enhancements, and player-facing features.
- Validate that new promotions, player journeys, and segmentation logic operate correctly from both technical and user experience perspectives.
- Document, track, and analyze defects in coordination with internal teams and external vendor partners, providing clear issue reports to support timely resolution.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and marketing leads to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into effective QA strategies. Maintain documentation to support team knowledge and collaboration.
- Engage in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and user acceptance testing for continuous platform and marketing development, offering assessments on release readiness.
- Conduct testing across platforms using both manual and automated methods, incorporating external testing services such as Applause to enhance scalability and real-world validation.
- Configure and verify tagging and analytics events associated with marketing campaigns and new platform features to ensure accurate data collection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Marketing Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent training and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of four years of experience in digital quality assurance, technical testing, or QA Specialist roles supporting websites, mobile applications, or marketing technologies.
- Proven understanding of QA methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), and testing procedures in agile environments across web and mobile platforms.
- Hands-on experience with QA tools and platforms such as Jira or BrowserStack.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset toward identifying and mitigating risks.
- Familiarity with marketing automation systems, customer journey flows, segmentation logic, and integrations via software interfaces.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to support collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

- Experience working with lottery, iGaming, or eCommerce platforms is advantageous.
