Passion.io is looking for a Manual QA Tester for a 6-month contract to ensure flawless mobile and web experiences for creators using our platform. You'll join a global, remote-first team dedicated to quality and creativity, testing across web, native mobile apps, and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
What You'll Do
- Review business and technical requirements to prepare for testing.
- Perform manual testing on web, native mobile apps (iOS & Android), and PWAs.
- Validate UI/UX consistency against design mockups in Figma.
- Test functionality, usability, performance, and responsiveness across devices, browsers, and operating systems.
- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and sanity tests.
- Log and track bugs clearly with detailed reproduction steps using tools like Jira.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure smooth, high-quality releases.
- Support release validation and post-deployment checks.
- Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Suggest QA process improvements and advocate for best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of experience in manual QA testing for mobile and web applications.
- Solid grasp of software development lifecycles and QA methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like Jira.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized with great time management skills.
- Communicative, curious, and motivated to support others.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing native mobile apps on physical devices.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control.
- Knowledge of automation testing frameworks like Webdriver.io and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with API testing and backend validation.
- Fluency in QA concepts, from smoke tests to regression suites.
