About the Role
The role involves leading quality assurance efforts, designing test strategies, and collaborating with developers and product teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of testing activities across multiple projects
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking systems
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
- Conduct both manual and automated testing as needed
- Ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements
- Review product specifications and provide early feedback on quality risks
- Implement and improve QA processes and methodologies
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote knowledge sharing
- Work closely with product managers and engineers throughout the development lifecycle
- Perform regression testing to confirm fixes do not introduce new issues
- Validate user stories against acceptance criteria
- Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines with testing protocols
- Monitor application performance and stability in various environments
- Assist in defining quality metrics and reporting on QA progress
- Evaluate third-party tools and services for compatibility and reliability
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security practices
- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies
- Maintain documentation for test environments and configurations
- Coordinate testing efforts across cross-functional teams
- Assess risks associated with new features and releases
- Verify localization and accessibility requirements are met
- Conduct end-to-end system testing before production deployment
- Provide input on release readiness and go/no-go decisions
- Stay updated on emerging testing tools and QA trends
Nice to Have
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB)
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Background in fintech or developer tools
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Knowledge of accessibility standards like WCAG
- Exposure to mobile testing on iOS and Android
- Understanding of microservices architecture
