The Senior QA Engineer will operate remotely from India, focusing on creating and executing test strategies, building automated test solutions with Playwright and TypeScript, and actively participating in Agile/Scrum workflows to ensure robust software quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation of test plans and carry out functional and performance testing by writing and running test cases, using Playwright with TypeScript for automation.
- Participate fully in Scrum activities such as planning, estimation, and validation of user stories and their acceptance criteria.
- Build in-depth knowledge of designated product domains to ensure thorough testing coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, metrics, and any critical issues encountered.
- Follow and adhere to Revvity Signals practices as part of compliance and quality standards.
- Help produce clear, well-organized test summary reports that accurately reflect testing outcomes.
- Gain deep product knowledge to identify strengths and weaknesses, and represent customer perspectives to improve user experience.
- Build and run integrated automated test cases using Playwright, collaborating with manual testers and aligning with manual test procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a scientific field, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in testing high-volume, scalable enterprise software systems.
- Proven track record working within Agile or Scrum environments.
- Strong working knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Solid understanding of Quality Assurance life cycles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Proficient with test case management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with automation tools including Playwright, TestComplete, or Selenium.
- Experience working with databases and various data platforms.
- Background in developing and maintaining API test frameworks.
- Hands-on experience using Playwright and Selenium for UI test automation.
- Demonstrated ability to convert manual test cases into reliable automated scripts.
- Experience in creating test documentation, analyzing defects, and managing issue tracking and reporting.
- Development experience with Java, .NET, or TypeScript is required.
Nice to Have
- Experience in testing software systems at large scale is a plus.
