A QA Engineer is required to ensure seamless functionality of gaming platforms that combine physical and digital components. The role emphasizes manual testing of web and API applications to uphold system integrity and deliver smooth user interactions. Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing on web-based and API-driven applications.
- Carry out thorough testing to verify the stability and correctness of software systems.
- Work closely with developers to detect and fix software defects.
- Record and communicate test results clearly and accurately.
- Set up and manage test environments, supporting continuous integration and deployment workflows.
- Take part in analyzing requirements and refining user stories.
- Execute regression tests to validate updates and enhancements.
- Participate in Agile activities such as sprint planning and retrospective meetings.
Requirements
- More than three years of hands-on manual testing experience with web and API applications, particularly in backend or integration-focused projects.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks, Git, JIRA, Postman, and WebSocket protocols.
- Solid grasp of client-server system design.
- Proven experience analyzing system logs.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts.
- Extensive background testing RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Experience with WebSocket protocols and testing real-time API interactions.
- Background in validating system integrations, data movement, and interactions between microservices or third-party systems.
- Strong knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, cookies, and authentication techniques like JWT and OAuth.
- Ability to design and execute test cases and checklists for API and integration scenarios, including edge cases and error conditions.
- Proficiency with JSON and XML formats, schema validation, and handling various data payloads.
- Comfortable using DevTools, cURL, or command-line tools for testing and debugging.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills.
- Capable of working effectively in a fast-moving Agile environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
