Mix is looking for a QA Engineer Contractor focused on delivering high-quality product experiences. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented and user-focused, dedicated to ensuring our software meets user expectations.
What You'll Do
- Execute manual test plans to validate product features and user flows
- Report bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues clearly and thoroughly
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to understand feature requirements and edge cases
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new releases
- Help document and maintain test cases and QA processes
- Track and verify resolved issues to ensure proper fixes
- Provide feedback to improve functionality, design, and user experience
- Help maintain product quality across browsers, devices, and environments
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years experience in a QA role (software or digital product experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a natural curiosity to find what’s “off”
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to think from a user’s perspective and advocate for quality
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Comfortable using tools like Asana, Jira, Trello, Confluence, or similar
- Familiarity with web and mobile applications
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or exploratory testing tools
- Experience working in Agile teams or fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with basic QA methodologies or terminology (e.g., regression testing, smoke testing)
- Interest in growing into a more technical QA role over time
Benefits & Compensation
- Contract compensation: $30-$40 per hour
