The Boeing Company is hiring a QA Automation Tester for its Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) team in India. This is a senior role where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and stability. You will build automation frameworks, mentor junior testers, and drive continuous improvement in QA practices.

What You'll Do

Create and update test cases for Java applications.
Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using JAVA and Selenium to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Design and develop test plans, test cases, and generate test reports, defect reports, and documentation.
Perform Functional Manual Testing and automate manual test cases.
Write, review, and execute manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
Meet Test metrics and Test coverage, identify critical system functionalities, and design test cases for untested areas.
Contribute to building CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
Ensure compliance with QA best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.
Build and enhance automation frameworks.
Mentor junior team members on technical aspects and support development of internal competency.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of hands-on experience in test automation.
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Software Quality Assurance processes and QA methodologies.
Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Skilled in test automation using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and Cucumber.
Proficient in working with SQL, MySQL and NOSQL databases and their declarative query language.
Experienced with version control tools like Git and TFS.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
Proficient in Agile Methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
Experience testing RESTful APIs and web applications using tools like Postman and SOAPUI.
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Must be able to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams within Boeing and external partners.
Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, and partners.
Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work across different cultures and time-zones.
Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English, with high proficiency in MS Office tools.
Must have experience leading teams and ability to mentor and teach juniors and partners.

Nice to Have

Experience with ISITRIGHT is a plus.
Experience in Python and different Automation Test tools and technologies is desirable.
Basic exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
Experience with test management tools and continuous Integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Knowledge of additional programming languages or testing tools is a plus.
Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance.
