The Boeing Company is hiring a QA Automation Tester for its Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) India team, part of the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC). In this senior role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites to validate application functionality, performance, and stability. You will drive continuous improvement in QA practices and mentor junior team members.

What You'll Do

Create and update test cases for Java applications.
Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Design and develop test plans, test cases, and generate test reports, defect reports, and documentation.
Perform Functional Manual Testing and automate manual test cases.
Write, review, and execute manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
Meet Test metrics and coverage, identifying critical system functionalities and designing test cases to cover untested areas.
Contribute to building CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and translate them into test cases and automated tests.
Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
Ensure compliance with QA best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.
Build automation frameworks.
Mentor junior team members on technical aspects and support development of internal competency for critical skill sets.

What We're Looking For

Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Software Quality Assurance processes and QA methodologies.
Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Skilled in test automation using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and Cucumber.
Proficient in working with SQL, MySQL and NoSQL databases and their declarative query language.
Experienced with version control tools like Git and TFS.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
Proficient in Agile Methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Experience testing RESTful APIs and web applications using tools like Postman and SOAPUI.
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams within Boeing and external partners.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, collaborators, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and complete projects.
Proactive approach to seeking information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
Flexibility, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with team members across different cultures and time-zones.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Fluent in written and spoken English, with high proficiency with MS Office tools.
Experience leading teams and the ability to mentor and teach juniors and partners to accomplish project and departmental goals.

Nice to Have

A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experience with test management tools and continuous Integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Knowledge of additional programming languages or testing tools.
Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance.
Experience in Python and different Automation Test tools and technologies.
Basic exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
