We're seeking a Python Web Developer to join our remote team based in Estonia. In this role, you'll help design, develop, and maintain fintech applications that prioritize reliability, scalability, and usability. You'll be involved in every phase of the software lifecycle, from concept through deployment, working closely with a collaborative group of developers.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement Python-based web applications using frameworks like Django or Flask
- Write maintainable, well-documented code that follows industry best practices
- Integrate third-party services via APIs and ensure secure, efficient data handling
- Test, debug, and optimize applications for performance and stability
- Take part in code reviews and help refine team development workflows
- Stay current with evolving technologies and contribute to technical discussions
What We're Looking For
- 2–3 years of professional Python development experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one Python web framework (Django or Flask)
- Practical knowledge of testing tools such as Behave, Playwright, or unittest
- Familiarity with relational databases including PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Working knowledge of Git and version control workflows
- Basic command-line proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
- Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a distributed team
- A genuine interest in learning and applying new technologies
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience designing or consuming RESTful APIs
- Exposure to ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms like Github Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
