Clario is hiring a Python Software Engineer to join our GenAI department. In this role, you will play a leading part in building the next generation of AI-powered solutions for the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries. As a senior engineer, you will architect, develop, and deploy advanced agentic and multi-modal AI systems that drive innovation and improve patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy robust AI-powered applications, with a focus on agentic and multi-modal AI systems.
- Architect scalable, production-grade software solutions using modern programming languages and AI/ML frameworks.
- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle: from ideation and prototyping to deployment and monitoring in cloud environments.
- Collaborate closely with AI researchers, scientists, software developers, and product managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for training, evaluating, and serving AI models.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps within the GenAI team.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Stay current with advancements in AI, agentic systems, and cloud engineering, and drive their adoption within the team.
- Contribute to strategic planning, technical roadmaps, and cross-functional initiatives that align with organizational goals.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of building cloud solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Python or other programming languages such as Go.
- Experience developing and maintaining APIs in Python using frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating backend services in Kubernetes-based environments.
- Experience working with relational databases and vector databases.
- Experience serving and operationalizing models in cloud environments using technologies such as Amazon SageMaker or Bedrock.
- Strong understanding of cloud architectures and DevOps practices (AWS and GitLab CI/CD preferred).
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and mentor other engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong commitment to code quality, security, scalability, and performance.
- Passion for innovation and staying current with emerging technologies.
