About the Role
The role involves providing technical expertise in the design, analysis, and implementation of photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects, supporting engineering teams through various project stages from concept to commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical assessments for photovoltaic and battery energy storage system projects
- Develop engineering designs and documentation for PV and BESS installations
- Perform energy modeling and performance simulations
- Review site layouts and electrical configurations for optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project integration
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards
- Support procurement by evaluating technical specifications
- Assist in the review of contractor submittals
- Participate in risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Monitor project progress and provide technical updates
- Troubleshoot design or field issues during construction
- Coordinate with external consultants and vendors
- Validate system performance through testing and commissioning support
- Maintain accurate engineering records and project files
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes

Project Involvement
- Work on large-scale photovoltaic and battery storage developments across diverse geographic regions
- Engage in both greenfield and brownfield project environments
- Support front-end engineering and detailed design phases
Technical Standards
- Apply IEEE, IEC, and NEC standards in system design
- Ensure adherence to safety and performance benchmarks
- Follow internal engineering guidelines and quality controls
Software Tools
- Use of PVsyst, Helioscope, or equivalent for energy modeling
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design platforms
- Familiarity with ETAP or SKM for electrical studies
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel to project sites and partner offices
- Up to 20% travel depending on project phase
