About the Role
The psychiatrist will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include medication management, psychotherapy, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure integrated care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Conduct regular patient follow-ups
- Document clinical findings in electronic health records
- Collaborate with therapists and case managers
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Monitor patient progress and outcomes
- Coordinate care with primary health providers
- Maintain compliance with clinical standards
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Support patient education initiatives
- Engage in quality improvement activities
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards
Nice to Have
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty area
- Additional certification in addiction psychiatry or geriatric psychiatry
- Experience with telepsychiatry platforms
- Bilingual communication skills
- Prior work in community mental health settings
