About the Role
Provide advanced psychiatric care through evaluation, medication management, and therapeutic interventions for individuals with mental health conditions, operating within a patient-centered model.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Diagnose and manage mental health disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and adjust psychotropic medications
- Monitor patient progress through follow-up visits
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Document clinical findings in electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and quality reviews
- Support crisis intervention when necessary
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions
- Coordinate care transitions with other providers
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines
- Conduct risk assessments for self-harm or harm to others
- Facilitate group therapy sessions as needed
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment
- Uphold licensing and certification requirements
Nice to Have
- Experience in outpatient mental health settings
- History of providing care via telepsychiatry
- Familiarity with integrated care models
- Additional certification in addiction treatment
- Training in cognitive behavioral therapy techniques
- Prior leadership in clinical teams
- Experience with complex psychiatric cases
