Sedgwick is seeking a Property Desk Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will handle property and casualty insurance claims valued up to $15,000 through detailed examination and investigation. What You'll Do
- Evaluate insurance policies, claims forms, endorsements, and carrier instructions to determine coverage.
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather reports, consult records, and inspect damage to determine liability.
- Interview and correspond with claimants and witnesses.
- Estimate the cost of repair, replacement, or compensation.
- Prepare reports of findings and negotiate claim settlements.
- Issue settlement checks, file regulatory documents, and handle salvage and subrogation.
- Recommend litigation when settlement cannot be negotiated.
- Attend litigation hearings and participate in depositions as necessary.
- Revise case reserves in assigned claims files to cover probable costs.
- Maintain an expected caseload efficiently.
- Utilize technology and automation tools for efficient claim handling.
- Send claims exceeding $15,000 gross loss amount to leadership for approval.
What We're Looking For
- Must obtain IIA-AIC designation within 12 to 18 months in the role.
- Appropriate state adjuster license is required.
- Three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Prior experience handling property and casualty claims.

This role operates on a hybrid schedule, located in Dallas, TX, with remote work available after an initial training period.
