Hitachi Rail is seeking a Project Manager specializing in Rail Signaling / CBTC to lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering advanced train control solutions. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and financial standards within an international context.
What You'll Do
- Implement and manage projects according to contractual requirements and company processes.
- Manage overall project performance, schedule compliance, cash flow, and budget while ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Strategically manage client expectations relative to business objectives.
- Evaluate the need for out-of-scope work considering strategic project gains.
- Evaluate and report on project 'Estimates to Complete' to clarify cost exposures and future labor needs.
- Review and input into the project Risk List and make decisions on mitigation expenditures.
- Provide vision and direction, fostering a single path for the project team.
- Display strong communication skills ensuring clarity with senior management, clients, and the project team.
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of experience in a related industry or from a technical/aerospace field.
- 10 years of professional experience as a project manager.
- University degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunications, or Informatics) or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong technical expertise in Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) railway signaling systems.
- Demonstrated experience handling high-complexity projects in challenging multicultural and international settings.
- Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple, international remote teams effectively.
- Self-disciplined, proactive, and entrepreneurial with a strong commitment to achieving targets.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and risk assessment.
- Fluent in English, capable of working effectively in international and multicultural environments.
Nice to Have
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
