Epiroc is seeking a Project Leader to lead powertrain system design and integration for our Underground Mining Equipment Loaders and trucks. In this role, you will provide value-added design services, manage projects, and ensure quality and on-time delivery to achieve customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Lead powertrain system design and integration for Underground Mining Equipment Loaders and trucks.
Select powertrain components and integrate systems including engine, transmission, shafts, axle, and tire.
Analyze existing designs and recommend improvements for cost or energy efficiency without affecting performance.
Perform theoretical calculations to determine vehicle performance requirements.
Conduct research on technology to develop new products.
Perform risk assessment during the design phase and inspect during prototype development.
Manage vehicle integration and packaging for drivetrain components and systems.
Work on PDM/PLM systems associated with engineering release processes.
Provide value addition and suggestions for improvements.
Follow design procedures, instructions, and standards like ISO and DIN.
Provide onsite support during prototype development and testing.
Receive and study project requirements.
Plan and track project progress.
Analyze customer feedback.
Report to the Team Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
Comply with company policies, values, and business code of practice.

What We're Looking For

BE/ME in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
12-16 years of experience in Mining/Earth moving equipment/off-road vehicles, preferably in Powertrain System Design for diesel machines.
Hands-on experience in Creo.
Experience working on a PLM system, specifically Teamcenter.
Good knowledge of Diesel Powertrain designs and EV.
Basic knowledge in Hydraulics and Structural design.
Good knowledge of Engineering materials.
Knowledge/exposure to troubleshooting and testing.
Knowledge of design standards.
Expertise in Vehicle Mechanics & Integration.
Proficiency in Modelling and detailing.
Experience with preparation and release of BOM and Engineering change management.
Basic project management knowledge.
Excellent Interpersonal & Communication skills.
Team player—open-minded and flexible.

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with MATLAB and simulation activities.
