GE HealthCare is hiring a Project Director to manage the execution of Renewable Energy Hydro Projects. You will drive project performance to maximize cash and margin, while delivering on time and in conformity with the contract. This role sits within GE Vernova, a purpose-built company leading a new era of energy—electrifying the world while simultaneously helping to decarbonize it.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement the overall strategy for project execution to achieve performance goals.
- Represent GE to the customer, managing this interface and relationship as well as internal and external communication.
- Set up, secure, and organize the project team, ensuring members have clear roles, responsibilities, and defined interfaces.
- Constantly monitor and report on key performance indicators, taking necessary actions to guarantee financial, schedule, quality, and safety performance.
- Establish, implement, and monitor the Project Quality Plan, Procedures, and EHS Plan to ensure best compliance at the lowest final cost.
- Define and direct the strategy for claim management, addressing claims by leading all necessary actions.
- Define, constantly update, and review the Risk Management Plan, evaluating and determining actions that benefit overall project performance.
- Assume full responsibility for the project from handover from Sales until all obligations are completed at Final Acceptance.
- Build, lead, and coach a committed project team, defining goals and evaluating performance against them.
- Develop and monitor the Master Time Schedule, managing project float to ensure timely completion.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant power generation industrial experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Project Director experience.
Nice to Have
- Large Construction (EPC) and site experience.
- Project Management Professional Certification.
- International project execution experience.
- Hydro electric industry experience is highly preferred.
- University degree in Business Administration, or equivalent commercial background.
- Background in contract law, claim management, scheduling, risk and change management.
- Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, and to lead programs/projects.
- Ability to document, plan, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
