The role involves providing planning and scheduling support to project teams, ensuring accurate progress tracking, forecast updates, and adherence to control processes throughout project lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard planning tools
- Monitor project progress and update forecasts in line with actual performance
- Support integration of schedule data with cost and risk controls
- Ensure compliance with project control procedures and reporting standards
- Collaborate with project managers to identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
- Produce regular schedule performance reports for stakeholders
- Assist in baseline development and change control processes
- Track critical path activities and highlight potential delays
- Participate in schedule reviews and progress meetings
- Maintain version control of planning documents
- Support earned value management practices where applicable
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams on activity sequencing
- Validate schedule logic and dependencies for accuracy
- Contribute to project forecasting and lookahead planning
- Ensure alignment of planning activities with contractual milestones
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts
- Provide input to project risk assessments related to timing
- Maintain schedule health metrics and performance indicators
- Support project audits and schedule governance checks
- Assist in the preparation of project closure documentation
