The University of Vienna is looking for a Program Manager to shape the strategic development and daily support of student employees and peers at the university level. You will collaborate with leaders across the rectorate and service units to build robust frameworks for their deployment and growth.
What You'll Do
- Develop university-wide processes for deployment planning, onboarding, and ongoing support of student employees and peers across all faculties, centers, and service units.
- Create a comprehensive strategic concept for the future development of student employees and peers, in collaboration with managers, experts, and stakeholders.
- Work directly with the management of the service unit and the rectorate on these strategic initiatives.
- Anchor resulting changes in faculties and service units through consultation, service offerings, and hands-on implementation support.
- Take direct responsibility for the training and qualification of student employees and peers.
- Supervise and support student employees and peers in their daily tasks.
- Participate in the ongoing activities of the Center for Teaching.
What We're Looking For
- A completed Master's or Diploma degree.
- Demonstrable knowledge in higher education didactics and professional experience in university teaching, further education, or adult education.
- Experience developing and implementing strategies in larger organizations, plus process or project management experience.
- A structured, independent, and forward-looking working style with high organizational competence and flexibility.
- Strong communication skills, resilience, service orientation, and a solution-focused approach.
- Excellent German language skills (minimum level C1) and very good English language skills (minimum level B2).
- Very good MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
Nice to Have
- A completed doctoral degree with your own teaching and publication activity in a relevant field.
- Professional experience within higher education institutions, including knowledge of governance structures, target groups, and stakeholders.
- Experience with Confluence Wiki, Moodle (including the Moodle-based platform u:rise), and TYPO3. A willingness to quickly learn these tools if you lack prior familiarity.
