CESAR is seeking a Production Specialist to be a key contributor within our proof-of-concept operations. You will execute and guide production and development stages in the laboratory, ensuring full compliance with all norms and standard operating procedures.
What You'll Do
- Execute, guide, and ensure the execution of various stages of production, development, and auxiliary steps in the Laboratory.
- Guide and ensure the cleaning of specific equipment according to procedures.
- Check materials used in the process, verifying validity and proper storage.
- Guide and prepare solutions and/or culture media.
- Perform environmental monitoring in classified areas and send material to the Quality Control Service.
- Operate equipment for the production process.
- Use and ensure the use of appropriate personal/collective protective equipment (PPE/CPE) when entering specific production areas.
- Conduct production process control tests through assays and experiments, aiming for improvement and in-process control of the production chain.
- Develop, implement, and review process assays and new methodologies for new product development.
- Ensure the conservation of glassware, equipment, rooms, and production areas.
- Prepare spreadsheets related to inventory and/or production control by organizing materials to maintain accessible records.
- Develop and evaluate graphs using obtained results for statistical analysis of production and control data.
- Open and investigate quality deviations and change controls, as well as participate in the investigation, discussion, and conclusion of deviations.
- Operate the SAP system according to internal area norms to record production batch entries.
- Issue and forward purchase orders and necessary documentation for acquisition, such as technical specifications and user requirements.
- Arrange equipment maintenance by contacting third-party companies and/or Industrial Engineering.
- Develop and review technical reports.
- Develop, review, and direct Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for management analysis.
- Fill out, guide, and review protocols related to performed procedures, aiming to maintain documentation and allow process traceability.
- Qualify operators for authorization to work in classified areas.
- Guide and ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) norms and operational procedures, as well as Occupational Safety, Biosafety, and Environmental norms.
- Guide the team during the temporary absence of the Coordination.
- Develop and deliver training focused on activities and procedures to be performed by employees, aiming for team development.
- Develop and monitor the production/development schedule.
- Develop material schedules and budgets.
- Conduct technical interface between internal areas, partners, and international suppliers, leading discussions for alignment and optimization of the production process.
What We're Looking For
- Completed Higher Education and Postgraduate studies in the areas of Bioengineering, Biology, Biomedicine, Chemistry, Pharmacy (or biochemistry), Biological/Biomolecular/Health/Technology Sciences, Microbiology and Immunology, Nanobiotechnology, Engineering (Biomedical, Manufacturing, Production, or Chemical).
- Knowledge of cell culture, fermentation, and purification.
- Experience working at the bench following Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Experience in a production environment with R&D demands.
- English proficiency for meetings and international travel.
