DÖHLER – Natural Food & Beverage Ingredients is hiring a Product Technologist to develop innovative and customized solutions for the fruit and vegetable processing industry. In this hybrid role, you will combine product development with commercial and technical responsibilities, advising customers and collaborating with internal teams to create products aligned with market trends and sustainability goals.
What You'll Do
- Develop new products and formulations based on customer needs and market trends.
- Improve existing product lines and production processes.
- Advise customers on product properties, applications, and processing possibilities, supporting the sales team during visits and demonstrations.
- Research and implement sustainable solutions, including the reuse of by-products like peels, pulp, and seeds.
- Develop, test, and analyze prototypes in the pilot plant, including trials and validations.
- Follow trends like plant-based products and functional foods, translating them into new product solutions.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a similar field.
- 3–5 years of experience in product development within the food industry, preferably with fruit and vegetable products.
- Knowledge of fruit and vegetable processing methods and familiarity with quality standards such as BRC, HACCP, and ISO.
- Experience with product innovation, sustainability, and commercial customer interactions.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration in an international environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20%) to factories and customers.
- Fluent in Dutch and English and possession of a category B driver's license.
