The Product Specialist 3 will act as a technical lead in building and maintaining database-driven reporting systems for a large-scale public education infrastructure program. This role involves deep involvement in the full development lifecycle, working on-site in Trenton under the guidance of the programming manager and development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update web-based applications and reporting tools as directed by the programming manager and development staff
- Conduct technical design, coding, testing, documentation, and deployment activities following NJSDA standards
- Evaluate current system performance and propose or implement technical enhancements
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for both new and existing systems
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- Five years of hands-on experience with SQL Server 2008/2012, including relational database structures, tables, stored procedures, and triggers
- Five years of experience using SSRS 2008 R2 for report development and deployment
- Five years of SQL development experience, including writing and modifying stored procedures for reporting
- Five years of experience with HTML and ASP programming
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Five years of experience using reporting tools such as SSRS and Crystal Reports
- Five years of experience modernizing and re-developing legacy reports
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience
- Must be available to work on-site five days per week for the full contract duration
- In-person interview is mandatory
- Extended absences of two weeks or more require prior management approval
- Resources who do not return to work on the agreed date may be dismissed by the client
