Novo Nordisk is looking for a Product Owner for our IT Backup Service. In this role, you will own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for our organization's backup technology. You will combine deep technical expertise in backup and cloud technologies with strong stakeholder management to ensure our service meets business continuity, compliance, and operational objectives while driving continuous improvement and value delivery. What You'll Do
- Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the IT Backup Service, aligned with business continuity, security, and compliance goals.
- Own the product backlog by writing, prioritizing, and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Define and monitor KPIs for the backup service to drive performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal backup policies, including data residency, retention, encryption, and audit capability.
- Manage incident response involvement for major backup/recovery incidents, leading post-incident reviews and implementing preventive measures.
- Communicate roadmap, status, risks, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders in clear, executive-level language.
What We're Looking For
- A strong technical background in backup and recovery technologies, with solid understanding of RPO/RTO, retention schemes, backup architecture, snapshots, replication, and restore workflows.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Technical Lead for infrastructure or platform services in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical detail into executive-level communication and vice versa, ensuring clarity across all organizational levels.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and build consensus across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX) in enterprise IT environments.
