Light is looking for a Product Engineer to build our core Smart Financial Platform to help multinational companies manage all of their accounting with AI and a great UX. You will implement robust, scalable technical solutions that address customer needs and collaborate with top-tier designers to create seamless and engaging user experiences.
What You'll Do
- Build our core Smart Financial Platform further that helps multinational companies manage all of their accounting with AI and a great UX.
- Implement robust, scalable technical solutions that address customer needs.
- Collaborate with top-tier designers to create seamless and engaging user experiences.
- Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, and infrastructure to support our high-performance frontend applications.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience building responsive web applications with deep expertise in fullstack development.
- Strong foundation in modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) and state management solutions.
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Go, along with database management (SQL or NoSQL).
- Deeply care about quality—you actively participate in code reviews, write comprehensive unit and integration tests, and thoroughly QA your work.
- Great communicator who collaborates effectively with designers on translating mockups to code and with backend engineers on API integration.
- Experience with frontend and backend build tools, module bundlers, and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for fullstack deployments.
- You have a sense of beauty, can commit and ship production-ready code that delivers exceptional user experiences.
Nice to Have
- Building AI-native robust and scalable applications.
- Experience with accounting or companies' finance flows (accounts payable, invoicing, payments etc).
- Experience with Next.js, Tailwind, and TypeScript.
- You've been thriving in high-growth startups with consumer-grade design.
