As a Senior Product Designer, you'll play a central role in transforming advanced AI functionality into accessible, no-code solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to clarify ambiguous challenges, define meaningful problems, and guide the direction of the product through insight-driven design.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end discovery efforts, moving beyond feature execution to uncover the root needs behind user behaviors and business goals.
- Run lightweight research using AI-assisted tools to gather insights quickly and efficiently, adapting methods to available time and resources.
- Build and test interactive prototypes to validate assumptions early, reducing risk before engineering begins.
- Design interfaces that account for AI-specific behaviors—like latency, uncertainty, and model constraints—while maintaining user trust and clarity.
- Develop cohesive design systems that ensure consistency across a growing product ecosystem.
- Ship early versions iteratively, balancing speed with long-term vision, and refine based on real user feedback.
- Manage multiple priorities, set clear expectations, and maintain high standards under evolving conditions.
- Contribute to team growth by sharing insights, improving design patterns, and advocating for user-centered practices.
Requirements
- Background in startup environments where agility and initiative are essential to success.
- Experience designing complex or AI-driven systems with a focus on holistic user journeys, not isolated screens.
- Strong communication skills, especially in articulating design rationale, trade-offs, and constraints.
- Proven ability to isolate key assumptions in product concepts and test them through experiments or user input.
- Track record of defining and using metrics to inform design evolution.
- Hands-on experience with usability testing, user interviews, analytics, and other research methods.
- Independence in driving design forward while remaining deeply collaborative across disciplines.
- Focus on solving real user problems while aligning with broader organizational objectives.
- Familiarity with web technologies and an understanding of technical feasibility in frontend and API design.
- Active curiosity about AI and a drive to make intelligent systems transparent and usable.
