Aios Medical is looking for a Senior Product Designer to step into a high-ownership role. You will provide the design leadership and structure needed for a product that has grown quickly, shaping how design shows up across both customer-facing products and critical internal tools.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership of design work across products and run projects independently, from problem definition to shipped solution.
- Design and improve customer-facing web and mobile app experiences, with mobile app work as a major focus.
- Work on internal products used by clinical, ops, enrollment, and CX teams, focusing on workflow, usability, and efficiency.
- Work on products with real commercial and regulatory constraints, understanding that not everything can be changed freely.
- Start from the business problem and the user need, clearly explaining what problem you were solving and why.
- Lead projects independently, including discovery, talking to users or internal teams, defining the solution, and shipping it.
- Articulate your thinking, defend decisions, and hold your ground in discussions with strong opinions.
- Be comfortable being senior, helping shape how design works, and supporting other designers as the team grows, without stepping away from hands-on work.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years designing digital products across web and mobile, including customer-facing mobile apps.
- Experience working on products where design decisions are shaped by regulation, compliance, legal requirements, or strong business rules.
- Ability to take loosely defined problems, figure out what needs to be done, and move a project from idea to shipped solution without constant direction.
- Care about clarity and usability more than surface-level polish, working within fixed requirements and technical limitations to make meaningful improvements.
- Clearly explain what problem you were solving, why certain decisions were made, and what tradeoffs were involved.
- Portfolio showing real product work, the problem, the rules you had to work within, and the impact of your decisions.
Nice to Have
- Formal or equivalent design training in design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent depth through real product work.
- Comfort working with engineers and thinking through implementation details, understanding how design decisions show up in real code and systems.
Team & Environment
You'll report directly to our Head of Product (Ben Dowdle) and work closely with engineers, ops, CX, and our Product Designer.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $80k-$140k/yr + equity
- Generous time-off with a yearly minimum.
- Comprehensive medical insurance (private health insurance).
- Professional development budget for books, courses, coaching ($1000/yr).
- Personal wellness budget for gym, health apps ($1000/yr).
- WFH gear provided as needed, including Macbook (>$1000).
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position open to candidates globally.
Aios Medical is an equal opportunity employer.
