The Lawrenceville School is hiring a Private Music Instructor

The Lawrenceville School seeks a Private Music Instructor to provide individual organ lessons within a diverse academic community. You will join a team dedicated to fostering musical growth, crafting personalized instruction for students.

What You'll Do

• Plan and prepare lessons tailored to individual student needs and examination goals.
• Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources.
• Schedule and execute private instruction on the organ, coordinating with the School Chaplain and Private Instructions Program Coordinator for instrument availability.
• Motivate students and encourage consistent progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• A Music Degree.
• Experience providing private, individual instruction on your primary instrument.
• Familiarity and ability with distance learning models and formats.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to recognize and correct errors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Team & Environment

You will work in communication with the School Chaplain and the Private Instructions Program Coordinator to schedule lessons and ensure resource availability.

Benefits & Compensation

• Compensation: $70.00 per hour.

This is an onsite position located in Lawrenceville.
