Nationwide Children's Hospital is hiring a Prior Authorization Specialist-2 to coordinate patient accounts from the prior authorization stage through billing, payment, and follow-up. You will process billing for home health agencies, maintain current knowledge of regulations, and assist in resolving billing problems.
What You'll Do
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for homecare services.
- Process and submit insurance claims for reimbursement.
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information.
- Monitor and track outstanding claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to homecare billing and reimbursement.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience billing public and private insurers for medical services using a computerized billing system.
Nice to Have
- Homecare services experience.
