Astrion is hiring a Principal Systems Engineering Support professional to provide critical systems engineering and enterprise IT support to the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNJ). This division supports over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve installations. You will manage a complex, heterogeneous IT network environment.
What You'll Do
- Craft, develop, implement, and execute innovative system engineering practices and processes.
- Manage, analyze, and trace functional and non-functional systems requirements, test cases, and architecture components.
- Accurately articulate issues, questions, and recommendations to customers.
- Recommend improvements to the systems engineering process to support the mission more effectively.
- Perform data analysis and translate business strategy into long-term technical roadmaps.
- Review the feasibility of new or existing project requirements.
- Create presentations and solutions and articulate them to senior management.
- Demonstrate high competency in Systems Engineering for multiple large projects.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 18+ years of experience, with 10 years supporting the Department of Defense.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in SEAM and Capability Maturity Model Integration.
- Familiarity with the DoD acquisition process from either the Government or prime development contractor perspective.
- Knowledge of agile acquisition methodologies.
- Expertise in Link-16, UHF CNR, USMTF, and COMSEC systems.
- Knowledge of OMS architectures, AEHF/WGS waveforms, and tactical communications planning.
- Experience contributing to Joint working groups and configuration control boards.
- MUST have an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Work Mode
This position is onsite at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts.
Compensation is estimated at $160,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.
