Responsibilities
- Serve as the final escalation point for intricate technical problems related to content delivery and edge networking.
- Investigate and resolve advanced issues concerning caching mechanisms, DNS configurations, routing protocols, load distribution, SSL/TLS encryption, and web security frameworks.
- Lead the response to high-priority incidents (P1/P2), coordinating with engineering, network, and operations teams to achieve resolution.
- Support root cause analysis efforts and help implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Evaluate traffic behavior, caching effectiveness, and node-level performance to enhance content delivery efficiency.
- Assist in executing production changes, scheduled maintenance, and software updates.
- Offer technical leadership and coaching to junior and mid-level support engineers.
- Develop and maintain internal documentation, operational runbooks, and diagnostic procedures.
- Engage in post-incident reviews and contribute to ongoing service improvements.
- Work standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM), with on-call availability for critical incidents outside these times.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in technical support, network engineering, or systems engineering roles.
- Solid grasp of content delivery network and edge infrastructure principles, including caching strategies, points of presence, and traffic routing.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, BGP, and load balancing techniques.
- Proven experience administering and troubleshooting Linux or Unix environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms and log analysis tools like Grafana, Kibana, or Splunk.
- Ability to assess complex system failures and perform effectively under pressure.
- Proficient English communication skills at B2 level or higher.
- Demonstrated ownership mentality and strong analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with major CDN providers such as Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, or Amazon CloudFront.
- Understanding of DDoS protection, web application firewall (WAF), and edge-layer security practices.
- Experience in automation or scripting using languages like Python or Bash.
