JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to play a senior role in shaping our global connected car and data platforms. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to drive engineering excellence and modern SRE practices across a large-scale, cloud-native environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, reliability engineering, and platform operations.
- Guide and mentor senior SREs, enabling the team to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient systems.
- Develop and enhance AWS-based platform infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices.
- Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to ensure cloud-native best practices.
- Oversee incident management processes and drive continuous improvement in reliability and performance.
- Ensure systems meet internal and external standards for robustness, compliance, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
- A strong coding background with experience across the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code, ideally with Terraform and AWS-focused tooling.
- Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, and improving engineering teams and processes.
- A solid understanding of cloud-native development, CI/CD tooling, and modern DevOps/SRE practices.
- Strong communication skills and experience operating enterprise-scale production systems.
