TheyDo is seeking a Principal Sales Engineer to join our team in Europe. In this critical role, you will leverage your deep technical expertise and consultative skills to partner with our sales team and prospective customers. You will demonstrate TheyDo's platform capabilities, design tailored solutions, and ensure customers understand the tangible business value we deliver.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with account executives to understand customer needs and craft compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-value solutions.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand customer pain points, technical requirements, and business goals.
- Create and tailor customised solutions that address client-specific challenges using TheyDo's full product capabilities.
- Develop and deliver in-depth product demonstrations, both virtual and in-person, showcasing how our platform solves key business problems.
- Design and lead proof of values and pilot projects to validate technical feasibility and demonstrate ROI.
- Provide technical guidance on integrations, API capabilities, security protocols, scalability, and performance.
- Assist in responding to RFPs, RFIs, and other technical documentation requests.
- Work with product management, engineering, and customer success to align product capabilities with market needs and feedback.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and new technologies.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, or technical consulting role.
- Experience ideally in SaaS, customer experience (CX), AI, collaboration, or analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based platforms, APIs, data integrations, enterprise software architectures, and security best practices.
- Experience with customer experience management, AI-driven analytics, or collaboration tools.
- Proven ability to understand customer needs and align solutions accordingly.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into practical solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CX platforms.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, scripting, or light development for creating custom solutions.
- Familiarity with modern sales methodologies like MEDDICC, Value Based Selling and Customer-Centric Selling.
