About the Role

This role involves leading land referencing initiatives for complex infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate integration of cadastral information, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration across technical and legal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of land referencing strategies for large-scale projects
  • Ensure precise alignment of cadastral data with engineering and design plans
  • Manage land title assessments and property boundary verifications
  • Coordinate with surveyors, legal teams, and project engineers
  • Oversee compliance with land use regulations and jurisdictional requirements
  • Prepare and validate land referencing reports and documentation
  • Supervise technical staff and provide mentorship
  • Conduct quality assurance on spatial data and mapping outputs
  • Support due diligence for property acquisitions and easements
  • Integrate geographic information systems (GIS) with project workflows
  • Lead stakeholder consultations related to land ownership and access
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables for referencing tasks
  • Ensure consistency with national and regional cadastral standards
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies in land records and title databases
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of land law and regulatory changes
  • Facilitate data sharing between technical teams and external agencies
  • Optimize land referencing processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • Deliver presentations on land issues to project managers and clients
  • Review third-party land surveys for technical adequacy
  • Support environmental and infrastructure planning through accurate land data
  • Apply risk assessment methodologies to land access and ownership issues
  • Ensure data security and confidentiality in handling property records
  • Participate in project bids and scope development for referencing services
  • Use specialized software for cadastral mapping and title analysis
  • Promote best practices in land data management across teams
