Responsibilities
- Design system architecture and deployment approaches for applications operating across on-premise and cloud-native environments.
- Guarantee interoperability, efficiency, and security across varied infrastructure platforms.
- Partner with Product Managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional architects to ensure technical strategies support business objectives.
- Develop solutions using Spring Boot, Microservices, and modern front-end technologies such as React.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, integrate front-end elements, and enhance application performance.
- Lead code reviews, guide team members, and uphold software development best practices.
- Analyze hardware dependencies, system components, and integration with medical devices.
- Lead architectural planning focused on scalability, fault tolerance, and performance improvements.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and encrypted communication protocols.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Design systems supporting remote updates, patching, serviceability, and version control.
- Create rollback mechanisms, fail-safe deployment processes, and minimize service interruptions.
- Establish observability practices and develop dashboards for monitoring performance and reliability.
- Produce comprehensive documentation and ensure effective transition to operations teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
- 10 to 14 or more years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years in a technical lead role with ongoing hands-on coding.
- Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and React frameworks.
- Deep understanding of hybrid deployment models combining on-premise and cloud-hosted environments.
- Knowledge of system architecture, hardware integration, and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with device-level authentication, security frameworks, and compliance protocols.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and core networking principles.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience making decisions based on data insights.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in regulated industries, particularly with healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, or GDPR.
- Understanding of security frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead design reviews and mentor software engineering teams.
