Micron is hiring a Principal Engineer, NAND Pathfinding to shape the next generation of NAND by combining deep technical expertise with hands-on design, prototyping, and experimentation. You will work at the intersection of device, design, and system to turn bold ideas into real innovations.
What You'll Do
- Develop and prototype new concepts addressing sophisticated, cross-disciplinary challenges.
- Collaborate with experts across silicon, design, architecture, and systems.
- Lead experimental work, including characterization, simulation, and validation.
- Drive projects from early conceptualisation through implementation.
- Mentor technical contributors and help raise team capability.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in NAND technology or NAND design.
- Strong understanding of non-volatile memory systems, NAND device physics, and layout/design principles.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and motivation to learn across domains.
- Experience contributing to both conceptual and hands-on technology development.
Nice to Have
- Proven record of innovation shown through patents, publications, or conference work.
- Experience working with cross-functional and external experts.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Leadership experience guiding complex technical efforts.
- Ability to empower and collaborate with peers across diverse abilities.

You will join a small, highly skilled group as part of the NAND Pathfinding Team.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $140,000 - $298,000 per year.
