Bank of America is hiring a Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Formulates the engineering strategy for large-scale programs and collaborates with architecture teams to assess and implement technical enablers.
  • Directs the planning, scoping, and design of intricate features that involve multiple teams and require evaluation of alternative solutions.
  • Generates innovative concepts for advanced technology designs and development methodologies.
  • Provides technical leadership across development teams, including conducting design reviews and evaluating code within the assigned domain.
  • Selects appropriate technology stacks from a list of approved and supported internal tools and platforms.
  • Investigates emerging technologies to enhance development speed, testing quality, and release processes.
  • Owns the end-to-end testing strategy, ensures compliance, and coordinates integration efforts across teams for program-level solutions.
  • Supports the development of a digital asset platform that connects sales, trading, and operational functions across front and back office units.
  • Determines, designs, and deploys integrations between systems with high scalability and availability demands.
  • Constructs architectural frameworks for integrating digital asset software and hardware components.
  • Collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to refine and enhance product design.
  • Guides team members in adopting effective technical design and development practices.
  • Tracks advancements in digital assets, including distributed ledger technology, machine learning, and data science, to drive continuous innovation.
