Eaton Corporation is looking for a Senior Power Systems Engineer to provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers across a range of power system needs. This role involves self-managing projects and job cost accountability while working in a hybrid capacity from our Tukwila office.
What You'll Do
- Provide engineering consultation for customers in power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair, and training.
- Self-manage assigned projects and maintain job cost accountability to complete work within budgeted estimates.
- Perform Short-Circuit, LV/MV Protective Device Coordination, and Arc Flash studies.
- Conduct field data collection on customer electrical distribution equipment for power system studies.
- Interpret specifications and customer inquiries to design technical proposals and pricing.
- Provide technical solutions involving equipment design, testing, safety, reliability, or efficiency improvements.
- Run small to medium sized projects independently.
- Mentor or lead other engineers on small to medium sized projects.
- Provide customer training on arc flash and electrical safety.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a directly related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in the electric power industry.
- Three (3) years of experience in Short-Circuit and Coordination.
- Three (3) years of experience with Power Tools Electrical Engineering Software and SKM Systems Analysis software.
- Three (3) years of experience reading and interpreting electrical one-line and three-line diagrams.
- Three (3) years of experience identifying all electrical components within one-line and three-line diagrams.
- Three (3) years of experience with electrical distribution systems and all their components.
- Three (3) years of experience employing safe work practices for electrical distribution systems and components in the field.
