Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from the existing Oracle database to the new Microsoft Azure Postgres platform
- Develop and keep up to date technical documentation using standardized templates, while deeply understanding business data to suggest and execute efficient solutions
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to convert high-level technical goals into detailed technical specifications
- Guarantee database availability and performance by ensuring adequate resource allocation for high reliability and fast response times
- Conduct and support performance optimization activities for database systems and developer workflows
- Continuously monitor database environments to maintain secure, highly available services and enhance maintenance processes including deployments, updates, and version upgrades
- Produce and manage technical documentation following established formats, while acquiring thorough knowledge of business data to design and apply effective database solutions
- Operate within a structured Agile development framework
